Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 16 Highlights LAUSD’s Women Leaders

ACSA Region 16 recently held the Women in Leadership Summit on May 19, 2018 with a theme of imPACT (Inspirational, Mindfulness, Purposeful, Attitude, Courageous, Talent). Over a hundred educators from many different school districts across southern California were in attendance.

Highlights of the summit included a keynote from LAUSD’s Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Frances Gipson, an inspirational message from Dr. Wesley Smith, Executive Director of ACSA and a panel of strong women leaders that included, Vivian Ekchian, LAUSD’s Associate Superintendent, Dr. Margaret Kim, LAUSD Director, Local District Northwest, Dr. Michelle Bowers, Superintendent, Lancaster School District, Susan Canjura, LAUSD Principal, Dr. Darneika Watson-Davis, Executive Director, LAUSD’s Division of Operations, and Dr. Lisa Gonzales, Associate Superintendent, Dublin Unified School District.
