Clay Lacy Awards Scholarships to NVOC Aviation Students

On Thursday, November 8th, Clay Lacy awarded 34 scholarships to North Valley students in the Aviation program to help them meet their goals in preparing for the FAA Licenses. Since 2015, Clay Lacy has supported the Aviation students by donating over forty thousand dollars to help students meet the growing need of mechanics in the aviation industry.

Representing Clay Lacy were Scott Cutshall, VP Brand Development, Ed Mirzakhanian, VP of Maintenance and Business Development , and Henry Hage Operations Manger. It was a pleasant surprise to know that Henry is a former NVOC Aviation student who studied with Mr. Phil Struyk and Mr. Bowerman.

Aviation student Monica Hernandez, who has been featured in multiple interviews, district videos and media releases, thanked Clay Lacy for their continual support of aviation students. Monica is a natural speaker who garners attention with her enthusiastic speeches.

NVOC Principal Ellen Baker began the ceremony with a welcome that was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by student David Vargas. DACE Executive Director, Joseph Stark, brought greetings from DACE, praising the Aviation program, the teachers and students.
