Vernon-Central WorkSource Center funded Ramon Castro’s job training at Abram Friedman Occupational Center, just south of Downtown Los Angeles, where he completed three classes: Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning 1, 2 and 3, which fulfill the I-train course entitled “Air Conditioning Technician Trainee.”
The caliber of training that Mr. Castro received at Abram Friedman Occupational Center was such that he was able to not only secure immediate employment from an HVAC company, but in a span of a few months after being hired, was able to venture into establishing his own successful HVAC business.
Looking back on his training at Abram Friedman Occupational Central, Mr. Castro values the hands-on experience he had in class under the guidance of his instructor, Eric Pena, saying,
“I read the book at home and came to class ready to learn how to handle HVAC problems in the real world.”
He is also grateful to his career coach, Jessica Fuentes, of Vernon-Central WorkSource Center, who guided him through the process from start to employment.
